The Top 5 Mural Arts Moments in February

by: Carly Rapaport-Stein

Every month, Mural Arts hums with activity: classes, paint days, mural construction, story telling, artist talks, and so much more. Here’s a round-up of our top February moments, moments that range from the smile-worthy to the profound.

Adam Alli, an assistant artist at Mural Arts, traced his life’s story across Africa and the U.S., describing how art helped him find balance.

Art is important! And students think so too: they wrote letters to their council people to tell them how and why art makes a difference in their lives.

Artist Candy Chang drew a crowd to the most recent paint day for The Atlas of Tomorrow. Don’t miss Candy in March when she chats with CA Conrad or in April when Candy talks with SWOON!

For his first collaboration with Mural Arts, NDA took over the gate at the Fillmore. Want to see more of the Fillmore? Check out Wall Ball 2016!

Mayor Kenney stopped by to lend a hand at a paint day for a Richard Allen mural set to be completed this summer. Keep your eyes open for a dedication date in early July!
