Born and raised in Montreal, I am now based in New York where I work as a cinematographer and film instructor. I am fascinated by the notion of place and how it is defined and circumscribed by cultural standards. I like to travel, meet new people and spend enough time in a place to get a sense of its quotidian. Patience is one of my main attributes and it became an integral part of my work based on time and observation; I can spend 5 hours standing in the middle of a market place to get a single image!
