Welcome to our New Board Members

The Philadelphia Mural Arts Advocates Board of Directors is a group of business and community leaders, art enthusiasts, and artists who share our mission of beautifying, inspiring, and empowering Philadelphia’s communities using creativity and the transformative power of public art. Furthermore, our Board of Directors brings a rich pool of talent from the City of Philadelphia.

Please join us in welcoming our newest Board members: Danielle Hankin, Karyn DiMattia of TD Bank, and Scott W. McGough of Glenmede.  For a complete list of our Board of Directors, click here.

Danielle Hankin 

Danielle Hankin has been the VP of Operations for New Huntingdon Development (Hankin Management Company) in Philadelphia since 2012. She is responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations, including construction, administration, and project management. Danielle is an active supporter of various non-profit organizations. She serves on the Board of the Michener Museum of Art, the Riverfront North Partnership, the Philadelphia Ballet and is the Vice President on the Jewish National Fund Future’s Board. Danielle is involved with the Young Friends of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

We welcome Danielle in her new role on the Mural Arts Board, where she previously served as the co-chair of the Mural Arts Advisory Council and Development Committee. She also played a significant role as the co-chair of the Wall Ball Committees in 2022 and 2023.

Danielle graduated from Colorado College in Colorado Springs, CO, with a BA in Studio Arts. She earned a CA Certificate in Architecture from the University of California in 2012. Additionally, she studied Web Design and Interactive Media at the Art Institute of Philadelphia

Scott W. McGough 

Scott W. McGough, CFA ®, CFP®, is a Regional Director for Glenmede’s Private Wealth. In this role, he leads Philadelphia’s wealth management practice for high-net-worth individuals and families, including developing and managing personalized and comprehensive investment management, advisory, and planning services. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Company’s Investment Policy Committee and the Private Client Operating Committee. Glenmede is an active supporter of Mural Arts projects and our Art Education department. We are grateful to have Scott join our board.

Previously, McGough served as Glenmede’s Director of Fixed Income. He managed tax-exempt and taxable fixed income, directed a team of traders, portfolio managers, credit analysts, and risk strategy professionals, and oversaw more than $7 billion of managed assets. 

Prior to joining Glenmede, McGough was a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager and Trader with General Accident Insurance, where he started his investment career. In this role, he analyzed and traded various fixed-income investments, including U.S. Treasuries, agencies, corporate securities, municipals, non-rated securities, and non-dollar-denominated debt. Mr. McGough received his Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Temple University and a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in business and German from Albright College.

McGough holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designations and is a member of the Financial Analysts of Philadelphia and the CFA Institute. He has been a guest commentator for industry and national media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, The Bond Buyer, and Dow Jones. He is a frequent speaker on investment strategy. 

Karyn DiMattia  

With over 25 years of experience at TD Bank, Karyn DiMattia is now TD’s Senior Vice President of U.S. Brand, Creative and Sponsorships. She describes herself as a passionate creative who gets excited about communications that inspire others, has a nerdy fascination with the art and science of branding, loves to solve problems by connecting dots across various strategies, and believes in the power of empathy. After starting TD Bank’s first true in-house creative agency – Studio 361- she has since broadened her mandate to include Brand Strategy/Execution, Content, Multicultural Marketing, Consumer Insights/Customer Experience and Sponsorships. She is passionate about diversity & inclusion, humanity, innovation and people-centric ideas.

DiMattia was a Vision in Action Awards Recipient 2013 – TD’s highest performance and leadership recognition awarded to approximately 1 in 1,000 employees. She graduated Suma Cum Laude, first in class, with a Corporate Communications Bachelor’s Degree at Drexel University in 1995.

She’s recently proudly led her team at TD in mentoring interns through the Bank’s partnerships with two robust high school internship programs: Cristo Rey (career focused, college preparatory program for students with limited economic resources) and Project Search (career skill-building program for students with developmental disabilities) – ultimately hiring one of the team’s Project Search interns as a full-time employee who continues to thrive. She also led the first-ever Women in Leadership Community Mentoring Pilot for TD Bank, engaging TD women in providing career and leadership guidance to at-risk, highly motivated young women through a partnership with YouthBuild Philly.  And she completed the Philadelphia Arts & Business Council’s Business On-Board Program to learn best practices for arts non-profit Board leadership. At Mural Arts, Karyn has been an integral part of our Philadelphia Fellowship for Black Artists planning team, of which TD is the lead sponsor. We are thrilled to have her join our Board!
