Join us for Mural Arts’ Art Education program’s annual Student Art show: The Seeds We Grow. This year, our students explored the idea of growth, literally and metaphorically, personally, and collectively to create works of art. Through thoughtful conversation and reflection, students used art in a variety of mediums to evoke the questions: How can the seeds you plant now flourish into the future you dream of? How do our actions of today have consequences for tomorrow? What does growth mean to me? Come and celebrate how our students and teachers have bloomed this year as they share their works of art! All pieces are available for purchase, with proceeds going directly to the artists.
The exhibition opens on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 4 pm -6 pm at the Ice Box Gallery Space, 1400 N. American Street, Philadelphia, PA 19122.
The show features the work of Visiting Artist Robert Carter, Local Exposure Workshop Artists: Shawn Alleyne, Suldano Abdiruhman, Jay Coreano, Isabella Akhtarshenas, Cindy Stockton-Moore, Teaching Artists: Tai Baucom, Sarah Kolker, Jamee Grigsby, Dom Lyner, Nicole Rodrigues, Destin’ee Freeman, Rebecca Miller, and our amazing students!
