Southwest Fish-Off with Stacy Levy

Join us for a free fishing derby with environmental artist Stacy Levy, who is currently at work on a project for Art@Bartram’s. In partnership with Bartram’s Garden, the Southwest Fish Off features:

Free fishing derby with prizes
Free shrimp and grits breakfast for derby participants
Free kids activities

While the derby gets underway, help create an environmental artwork that changes as the tide rises. Sculptor Stacy Levy collaborates with nature in the built environment to tell hidden ecological stories, making them visible to the people that inhabit the space. Stop by to paint a visual representation of tidal patterns and fish populations with this nationally-recognized artist.

Derby Rules:
No fishing license necessary. Catch and release only.
Bring your own rod, tackle, and bait, or borrow ours on a first come, first served basis. One rod per person.
All ages and abilities welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult if fishing from a boat.

Pre-register on Bartram’s website, or call Danielle at 267-243-5231. Derby registration is free but limited to 50 participants.

Supported in part through a generous grant from the William Penn Foundation.
