Open Mic Night with Ursula Rucker

Make your voice heard! In conjunction with a series of poetry writing workshops at Porch Light’s Kensington Storefront hub, we’re putting on four open mic nights hosted by poet Ursula Rucker. Featuring community participants from the workshops, these events are free and open to the public.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Ursula Rucker is a singer and songwriter with a reputation for unique poetry techniques, and a strong spoken-word stage presence. Her work is known for its emotional and powerful content and presentation.
