Mural Dedication: Sunshine Surrounds Me

Join us to dedicate Sunshine Surrounds Me, a new mural by Willis “Nomo” Humphrey at the Happy Hollow Recreation Center. Happy Hollow is Philadelphia’s oldest recreation center, a place where Nate Miller, a former WBA cruiser weight, and Jerome Allen, a former NBA player and current assistant coach for the Boston Celtics, first got their start in sports. The design of the mural reflects this history and the rec center’s bright future, with images from past and present surrounded by the warmth and strength of the sun’s rays.

This dedication is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.
