Mural Dedication: A Journey to Resilience

Join us as we dedicate A Journey to Resilience, a project that was based out of the Girard Medical Center at North Philadelphia Health Systems. Beginning in 2015, James Burns hosted a series of discussions and collage-based workshops, all of which contributed to the final design.  The mural was painted with the help of participants at weekly paint days, held both at the Girard Medical Center and at the Ramonita de Rodriguez Free Library (at 6th and Girard).

The mural was funded by the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services, the van Ameringen Foundation, and an anonymous donor.
