Mural Arts Fest: For the Love of Hip-Hop – Sep 30 | 12:00pm–6:00pm EDT

This year, kicking off Mural Arts Month (MAM), presented by TD Bank, is Mural Arts Fest: For the Love of Hip-Hop at LOVE Park on September 30th from 12 pm -6 pm. We invite visitors and residents alike to witness the profound results such commitment generates. With Mural Arts Fest, we will be trying to invoke the same feelings of pride, community, and hope that Mural Arts has fostered in communities across Philadelphia for the last 39 years.

This year, the unofficial name for our MAM Block Party is “For the Love of Hip-Hop,” hosted by WURD’S REVIVE P.O.C. The event aims to celebrate the 50-year anniversary of the most widespread genre of music across the globe. Without hip-hop, graffiti culture, and public art being as intertwined as it is, who knows if Mural Arts would even exist? This festival, curated by Mural Arts Event Manager Medina Oyefusi, will feature performances by some of Philadelphia’s rising talent, such as Joie Kathos, Corey Lee, Mir Fontane, Seraiah Nicole, TreyWay & The Now Generation, and the Now Generation, and so much more!
