Industrious Light: Baldwin Locomotive Works

Join us as we dedicate the latest mural by local artist Phillip Adams as part of his Industrious Light series about Philadelphia’s industrial history. This new mural, located in the Logan Square neighborhood, showcases the industrial history of the Baldwin Locomotive Works which was once located at Broad & Hamilton. The mural features the Baldwin 60000 locomotive, which is housed inside of The Franklin Institute, and merges the railroad’s past with elements of its repurposed use as the Rail Park. The mural is located less than a block from the Matthias Baldwin Park, named after the Locomotive Works’ founder.
