Fresco Painting Workshop

In anticipation of her public mural celebrating the neighborhood of Tacony, artist Mariel Capanna will be holding two hands-on fresco painting workshops at the Tacony LAB to introduce the community to the history and technique of fresco: the ancient form of painting with earth pigment into wet plaster. Work beside your neighbors to execute a Renaissance master-copy, or to paint your own original design onto a plaster panel. Supplies, reference materials, and snacks will be provided, and you’ll be able to take your mini-fresco home at the end of the day!

These workshops are FREE and open to the public. This workshop is for older teens and adults only. RSVP strongly encouraged as capacity is limited. When you RSVP, please indicate which workshop you would like to attend.
