Join Monument Lab artist Michelle Angela Ortiz for a creative action in the Barnes Foundation’s light-filled Annenberg Court. In conjunction with her project Seguimos Caminando (We Keep Walking), Ortiz has made thousands of paper flowers with messages of freedom for the families detained at the Berks Detention Center, a prison outside of Philadelphia for immigrant families. The flowers were assembled in a creative action at City Hall in late October, and will be re-staged for this event at Annenberg Court to honor mothers previously or currently unjustly detained at Berks Detention Center alongside partners from the Shut Down Berks Coalition.
