Afromation Avenue 2023: Guided Project Launch Walk

Afromation Avenue is a collection of curated positive affirmation street signs personalized by predominantly Black/African American communities throughout the city of Philadelphia. This is Mural Arts second year working with project creators, Kristin Kelly and Brittni Jennings. Last year, the duo worked with artists Marian Bailey and Lindsay Bedford to create signs for West Philly. This year, they’re working with artists Nomad and kita Rich for a series of 40 signs installed around Germantown. For this Guided Project Launch Walk, Kristin and Brittni will lead press and community members on a guided walk to see and hear more about a portion of the newly created signs.
