Sculpture at The Navy Yard

Yes, Mural Arts occasionally works with sculpture. Yesterday I drove down to the Navy Yard to shoot the final 16×7 panel of Virgil Marti’s stainless steel sculptre being guided into place by crane in front of the new GlaxoSmithKline building.
The five sculptures resemble looking glasses; their design fitting seamlessly along the GSK facility, which appears as a large transparent ship docked at Five Crescent Drive. Amuneal Manufacturing Corporation fabricated the sculptures with installation slated prior to the building’s official ribbon cutting. It was a fun process to shoot.
