Fantastical Creatures

Recreational types and anyone enjoying the recent Spring weather along the Schuylkill River Trail probably noticed some fantastical looking animals popping up along the perimeter of the Paine’s Park construction site. The artwork is a collaboration between Mural Arts, Paine’s Skatepark Fund and Philadelphia Parks and Recreation. Artists Yis Goodwin (aka NoseGo), Nathaniel Lee and Malachi Floyd collaborated on a set of Fairmount Park inspired woodland creatures and other more surreal characters.

The full install will be finished by the weekend and remain up throughout construction. Go take a walk and have a look. Here are some shots of Nathaniel and Malachi from the install yesterday:
