Born to French parents in Washington, DC and raised in an international school, I have always had an appreciation for multiculturalism and the diverse ways of finding beauty and meaning in our world. Photography is the way that I have found to celebrate the world around me and tell the stories that I think are important. Conveniently, it’s also my job.

Philadelphia has been my home since 1997, and JJ Tiziou Photography has provided professional services to Philly and beyond since 2003. Whether photographing workers in warehouses, lawyers in offices, surgeons in the operating room, activists in the streets or educators in the classrooms, nowhere have I found a person to be un-photogenic. I have photographed with equal comfort in Kenya, Honduras, France, Germany or Mongolia as I have in Philadelphia and throughout the U.S.; the themes that unite my visual interests are movement and our common humanity.
