Jason Slowik

Slowik’s studio practice is primarily driven by an interest in the people and places he encounters which evoke a sense of transcendence towards a place of comfort and peace.

When working in the public realm, Slowik is interested in bringing about a sense of comfort and peace for others through his work and the process involved. Tribute portraits for lost loved ones may comfort individual families, collaborative work with victims and offenders groups can facilitate healthy and healing dialogue, and public murals can catalyze positive change in a community.
