Mural Dedication: Art Sanctuary

Celebrate a new mural from artist Ernel Martinez as part of Art Sanctuary’s annual Celebration of Black Arts! The mural design honors the building’s history in the neighborhood, and the legacy of the organization.

This year is the Art Sanctuary’s 20th anniversary, and the Celebration will be going on all of July—including the month-long exhibition Do You Hear What I See, featuring rarely seen photographs of black music icons from by photographer C. Ron St. Clair. On Saturday, July 28, enjoy programming in and outside of the Art Sanctuary gallery from 6 p.m.–midnight, including performances from some of Philly’s most electric acts, food, vending, art, and dancing!
