Fathers and Children Together (FACT) Mural Dedication

A Father’s Love is a Child’s Treasure

Mural Arts Philadelphia, the United Community Action Network at SCI Graterford, and the Fathers And Children Together (FACT) program have partnered to create a new mural for Southwest Philadelphia. FACT helps fathers who are incarcerated reconnect with their children with the hope that they can encourage their children to choose education over incarceration. In FACT sessions, fathers visit with their children and undertake a series of planned activities, such as making art together. The mural, designed by Ernel Martinez with input from FACT participants, reflects the importance of the bond between all fathers and their children.
