Mural Dedication: The Sacred Now: Faith and Family in the 21st Century

The Sacred Now: Faith and Family in the 21st Century by Cesar Viveros, a collaborative mural project between Mural Arts and the World Meeting of Families, will be dedicated on Monday, November 30 at 11 a.m. at the new St.Malachy School (1012 W. Thompson Street Philadelphia, PA 19122).

This mural is special for us not just because it commemorates such a historic moment for Philadelphia, but because the mural itself is a piece of history. The Sacred Now will be included in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most people who participated in painting a single mural–close to 3,000, and Pope Francis signed the mural.

At the dedication, we will be joined by Mayor Nutter, and Bishop McIntyre will bless the mural. We hope you can attend as well.
