Yvonne Lung is an Asian-American interdisciplinary artist with work ranging from sculpture, performance, video, to social practice. Her work is about social change through interaction, learning what we have in common by using her heritage as a vehicle to address shared experiences despite cultural differences.

She received her MFA from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and her BFA from Texas Tech University. She is currently an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University, the General Manager of Nichole Canuso Dance Company, and the Ceramic Studio Coordinator at University City Arts League.

Artist residencies include Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Manymini Residency, Art Omi International Artist Residency, and Asian Arts Initiative’s Social Practice Lab Artist-in-Resident. She has received project grants from the Velocity Fund and the Leeway Foundation’s Art and Change Grant for Social Change.

She is currently the co-captain of the Philadelphia Chinatown Dragon Boat Team and a member of the Radical Asian American Womxn’s Collective in Philadelphia. She lives with her life partner in Northeast Philadelphia.
