Spruce up your home and put old sheets, t-shirts, socks etc to use by making your own braided rug! This class will teach you step by step how to cut old sheets and clothing in a long, continuous strip to create giant fabric braids, and then coil them together in either a circular or rectangular braided rug. Coils will then be stitched either by hand or machine to keep your rug sturdy, with the option to add more and keep your rug growing with time!

Materials for braided rug:

Old sheets, t-shirts, socks – pretty much any old fabric you have in your home

Tape – for holding your braid secure

Scissors

Needle and thread or sewing machine
