A Philadelphia Mural Arts Tour offers the official tour of the city's super-sized works of art. Mural tours offer a "behind the scenes" look at how murals are made. Filled with anecdotes and rich with history, the tours leave people with an understanding of the complexities of mural-making and an appreciation of Philadelphia as the world's largest outdoor art gallery. Trolley Tours
Weekly Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday Tours
Each week an experienced tour guide will explore a different neighborhood highlighting nearly 35 murals.
- Week One: Center City
- Week Two: North Philadelphia
- Week Three: South Philadelphia
- Week Four: West Philadelphia
- Week Five (if applicable): Broad Street

| Cost: | $25 for adults, $23 for seniors 65 and older, $15 for children 3-12, FREE for children under 2 |
| Availability: | Guided walking tours are first come, first served. Reservations are strongly recommended. Limited MP3 players are available to rent for self-guided tours at a cost of $10. |
| Note: | Arrive 30 minutes prior to the tour to allow time to park and use the restroom. |

Join us for a two hour walking tour of Center City murals led by a trained and experienced guide. Tours depart daily and ticket price includes a headset, MP3 player, map, and a guide to add stories and show you the way.

Private Group Tours
A group mural tour of the "Mural Capital of the World" is a great way to share this uniquely Philadelphia experience with your business colleagues, civic group, senior group, or school class. Group tours can be scheduled almost any day and time, but require one week advance booking at a minimum. The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program is glad to accommodate groups of all sizes, and offer many custom tour options.

Become a Mural Arts Program Tour Guide
Are you passionate about Philadelphia's murals, city history, and the mission of the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program? If so, consider becoming a tour guide! Tour guides should be available to host a minimum of four tours per month, and must complete a series of three training sessions. For more information, e-mail the Tour Manager, Ryan Derfler with your contact information, resume, and a statement of interest.
Philadelphia Trolley Works Antique Trolleys
Trolleys for mural tours are supplied by our transportation partner, Philadelphia Trolley Works.
Trolleys hold up to 40 people on antique wooden benches. The trolley is always covered, and weather permitting, the side flaps are removed for an open-air viewing experience. The trolley is heated when needed, but not air conditioned.
Handicap accessible trolleys are available upon request and accommodate a maximum of 26 passengers.
