On Tuesday, August 15, 2023, we will host a celebration of a new temporary canopy art installation created by students at the Mt. Vernon Street Walkway, a pedestrian thoroughfare between Waring Elementary School and Roberto Clemente Playground in Fairmount. This installation brings new energy into the walkway, with current students bringing the story of Sunset Corridor to life. The celebration will consist of food, music, student speakers and performances.
