More about this Route

Experience firsthand how art ignites change: explore the world’s largest outdoor art gallery and get to know Philadelphia’s stunning mural collection on an exciting guided tour! Weave through diverse neighborhoods by vehicle, and get inspired by the incredible public art that makes Philadelphia the mural capital of the world.

This tour explores the stories of Philadelphia’s industrial history through murals on many former factories, now re-purposed as housing and commercial buildings. Highlights of this tour include Rippling Moon by Meg Saligman and Industrious Light – Rowhouse Spirits by Phillip Adams. Guests will travel through the Fishtown and Frankford neighborhoods, and learn how art has ignited change in  two of the city’s traditionally working-class neighborhoods.
