Environmental Justice

Right to the City

About Environmental Justice

Mural Arts’ Environmental Justice initiative uses socially-engaged public art as a platform for neighborhood change. The award-winning model operates at the intersection of public art, design, the built environment, and green space, focusing on environmental issues and the sustainable revitalization of community spaces.

Environmental Justice creates innovative projects with diverse groups to develop and enact plans that reflect the aspirations and goals shared by all stakeholders. The projects increase long-term stewardship and utilization of public spaces, educate and include neighbors in important infrastructure improvements, and facilitate opportunities for individuals and groups to shape positive change in their communities.

Environmental Justice is funded by the PTS Foundation.

Right to the City
