this is a HOPE poem… (have you ever heard of ONE?)

Over the past year community members along Kensington’s Indiana Ave corridor worked with Poet Ursula Rucker and Visual Artists Gaia & Anthony Carlos Molden in parks, libraries, and community centers, sharing experiences, ideas, solutions and aspirations for Kensington. In these sessions we made poems and created art about our collective experiences and worked together to conceive of a MULTI-WALL POEM-MURAL stretching down the corridors 13th blocks. The four uplifting murals feature stories,songs, and dreams of local residents reflecting on the past and imagining a future Kensington! Come celebrate.
