Mural Arts Philadelphia’s citywide Monument Lab continues with a Saturday Spotlight event at Rittenhouse Square, with music and food from 1–4 p.m.! This event will feature a public discussion between Monument Lab artist Alexander Rosenberg and Nancy M. Heinzen, author of The Perfect Square (Temple University Press, 2009), moderated by Lynn Miller of City in a Park: A History of Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park System (Temple University Press, 2015).

We’ll also feature short talks by some of the women who served on the advisory committee for If They Should Ask, Sharon Hayes’ project in Rittenhouse Square. The talks will focus on the topic of the work, creating a monument to the lack of monuments to women in Philadelphia. FREE.
