Reduce, Reuse, Reimagine Our Broken Waste Systems: Collecting knowledge for collective action

Register

Please join Trash Academy at our first “Reduce, Reuse, Reimagine Our Broken Waste Systems,” a virtual monthly meeting space for Philadelphia activists and engaged residents interested in building knowledge and community around the issue of trash. Let’s gather once a month to build relationships, grow our collective knowledge, create coalition, and discover the intersections in our approaches to environmental justice, consumption, and waste. April, May, and June will be focused on knowledge sharing around recycling, incineration, and landfills and then we will decide on collective action steps moving forward.

The first “Reduce, Reuse, Reimagine Our Broken Waste Systems” will focus on Philadelphia’s trash and recycling systems. We’ll get to know each other, listen to some experts and activists working in or around these systems, and then have a facilitated discussion about the topic.
