Now Accepting: Site | Sound Festival Micro Grant Applications

Friends of the Rail Park, Mural Arts Philadelphia, and American Composers Forum, Philadelphia Chapter announce a new collaborative project to take place this fall: Site/Sound: Revealing the Rail Park. Site/Sound will be a unique happening taking place over three weeks in October 2019, weaving together the experiences of sight and sound along the spine of the historic Reading Railroad.

This fall, the Rail Park and adjoining neighborhoods will teem with public events and innovative art installations combining sound and visual art, celebrating the past, present, and future of the rail line and Philadelphia’s neighborhoods.

We are seeking applicants interested in developing events and programs related to festival themes exploring sight, sound, and the past/future of the communities along the railroad corridor. Microgrants of up to $500 will be awarded. We encourage you to be creative: movie screening, workshop, block party, artist installation, performances, etc. Events or programs must be completed for and occur during the Festival (Oct. 3rd to the 19th).
