The Porch Light program, a collaboration between Mural Arts Philadelphia and the City of Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services, is pleased to announce a new storefront project in Northeast Philadelphia. Through a partnership with the Sudanese American Community of Greater Philadelphia, Porch Light will offer free arts, education, and wellness programming. These programs will support refugee communities in transition, and will primarily focus on uniting individuals of Iraqi, Syrian, and Sudanese descent through their shared experiences of immigration, language, religion, and neighborhood concerns.
The storefront will officially open on September 14th, with a fun party featuring free activities. Join us to celebrate our newest hub space!
