Join Mural Arts and our collaborative partner, PIDC, on July 12 from 4–6 p.m., to celebrate our ongoing projects at the Navy Yard with artists Nate Harris and Miriam Singer. The Navy Yard has always been a place of innovation, production, and discovery, and now it’s also a site for creative experimentation and exploration through public art.
The site will host multiple installations by Nate Harris, all inspired by the history of the Navy Yard and rendered in different formats and media: hanging flags that flutter in the wind like ships’ sails; colorful, patterned stairs that double as benches; bright, graphic columns; and a mural that pays homage to naval designs from World War I. Miriam Singer has created a new graphic look for the Navy Yard, which will be unveiled at this event in the form of new Navy Yard vehicle wraps.
Visitors are highly encouraged to visit the Navy Yard and discover all it has to offer. Become inspired by the Navy Yard’s rich history by exploring these new Mural Arts projects that take you past the waterfront, parks, historic buildings, naval ships, and so much more.
Please RSVP here. This event is free and open to the public.
