Mural Walk and Talk with Philadelphia Assembled

Environmental Justice project manager Shari Hersh and fellow Philadelphia Assembled collaborators will lead a tour of the expansive Philadelphia Assembled City Panorama lining the wall of the Perelman Atrium at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Learn about the origins of the images and dates selected for the panorama by project collaborators, and get a preview of the workshops that will take place in the fall.

This event is part of Philadelphia Assembled, a collaborative effort between the Philadelphia Museum of Art and a team of individuals, collectives, and organizations experimenting with methodologies for amplifying and connecting relationships in Philadelphia’s transforming landscape.

Mural Arts senior project manager Shari Hersh was invited to join Philadelphia Assembled because of her stewardship of innovative, deeply community engaged projects throughout Philadelphia. Mural Arts’ Environmental Justice initiative, which Hersh founded in 2009,operates at the intersection of public art, design, the built environment, and green space, focusing on environmental issues and the sustainable revitalization of community spaces. Hersh has been an editor on Philadelphia Assembled for two years.
