Mural Dedication(s) – Bike Share

Mural Arts is working with the Mayor’s Office of Transportation and Utilities (MOTU), the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, Philadelphia Parks Recreation, the artist Candy Coated, and the general public to create awareness about the Indego Bike Share program, the benefits of bike riding, and bike safety.

The project features a ground mural at 22nd and Tasker St, a wall mural at Progress Plaza (Broad and Jefferson St), and 20 vinyl wrapped bikes designed by Mural Arts Youth. A bevy of community engagement activities will surround the projects, including screen printing workshops, mural related paint days, and bike safety workshops.

On June 4, join us to dedicate the ground mural in South Philadelphia, then ride with us to Progress Plaza to dedicate the second mural in this exciting series.
