This collaboration with the Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) enlivens the pedestrian and vehicular tunnels on Philadelphia’s 5th Street, and pays homage to past and present behind-the-scenes bridge workers, as well as communities linked by DRPA bridges. Artists Brad Carney and Melissa Mandel have collaborated on a whimsical design for the pedestrian tunnel, while artist Mat Tomezsko has created a colorful, pattern-based mural for the vehicular tunnel.
