Mural Arts Month Kickoff! (We Are Universal Mural Dedication)

Mural Arts Month will kick off with a celebratory event, complete with the unveiling of We Are Universal, a mural celebrating Philadelphians from the trans, gender non-conforming, and non-binary communities. The mural, created by artist Kah Yangni (they/them), features text collectively created through a workshop with Morris Home residents . Photographs by Angel Edwards (they/them) were also taken of members of Morris Home at Bartram’s Garden, and they were used as reference images to inspire the illustrations.
