Mural Arts @ Free Streets

We’re joining the celebration for Philly Free Streets 2018! This people-powered initiative temporarily closes a designated street route to cars, so that people can walk, bike, and play (and paint!). This year’s car-free route follows North Broad Street from City Hall to Butler Street, with Mural Arts activations along the way.

Mural Arts docents will be stationed at murals along North Broad Street, so stop by to say hello and learn more about our city’s public art. Look out for art activities at Fairmount and Broad, three ground murals, and more. Tag us on social with #muralarts and #phillyfreestreets!

People of all physical abilities are invited, and participants with mobility limitations are welcome to use motorized wheelchairs, scooters, pedal-assist bikes, and adaptive bicycles. People are encouraged to use public transit to access the car-free route. There is no formal starting or stopping place—join the fun anywhere along the route!
