Meet & Greet with Artes Ekeko

Chilean muralist Artes Ekeko (Ian Pierce) is here in Philadelphia, working on a new project in Fairhill with artist Cesar Viveros and alumni of our Guild program. In partnership with Taller Puertorriqueño and the Providence Center, this new mural will explore Philadelphia’s identity as a sanctuary city, the contributions of immigrants to our city’s economy and culture, and the immediate and lasting impact of immigration laws on communities. Artes Ekeko’s practice creates space for listening and creative action—join us to meet him alongside Cesar Viveros and Guild alumni, and learn more about the project.
