Mural Arts Philadelphia, in partnership with Philadelphia-based muralist, curator, hip-hop ambassador, and community organizer Christian “TAMEARTZ” Rodriguez and artist Bill Strobel, is proud to dedicate a new mural in celebration of hip-hop at 900 Cecil B. Moore. The project is a walkthrough of the elements of hip-hop and includes images of world-renowned and locally-acclaimed DJs, MCs, Graffiti writers, and Breakers. This project will illustrate to the community the importance of unity and the impact that hip-hop culture has had worldwide. Highlighting important figures from Philly, such as DJ Jazzy Jeff, Michele from Ladies of Hip-Hop, Reef the Lost Cauze, and more… We hope the youth can see a reflection of themselves within the project!
Mural Arts and TAME ARTZ will also host an after-party with DJs, MCs, Graffiti artists, and Breakers from 6 – 10 pm at Billy Penn Studios (1516 N. 5th St., Philadelphia, PA 19122).
To attend the party, RSVP is required and must be done at http://tameartz.com
