Keep It Movin’: A Collection of Artwork by Willis “Nomo” Humphrey

For the month of January, we’ll be celebrating the works of late artist, and former Mural Arts staff artist, Willis Humphrey in a new exhibit called, “Keep It Movin’: A Collection of Artwork by Willis “Nomo” Humphrey.” From 9am – 5pm, you can visit the gallery at Mural Arts Philadelphia to view the many works Humphrey created before his passing. During his time at Mural Arts Willis became known for his versatility as a successful, independent artist that dedicated time to work with innercity communities for years. He gave his attention to mentoring young adults, fostering an art program in the prison system and paying homage to his cultural roots through art. He has been recognized as a designer of complex, vibrant and multi- layered murals and we are lucky to have his legacy and vision live on in the murals throughout Philadelphia.

On January 9th,  join us for an open house and reception of this exhibit, which will include light fare and refreshments.
