Bandit Disc Roundup with Trash Academy

Join Trash Academy and the Philadelphia Department of Parks & Recreation in removing “Bandit signs”.  “Bandit signs” are made of coroplast, a type of plastic that often cannot be recycled. Community members have long been concerned that these signs are encouraging illegal behaviors and business that do not contribute to the sustainable development of our city.

Trash Academy in collaboration with Tiny WPA has converted many of these signs into “build it disks” imprinted with facts about trash, litter, recycling, and sustainability.  Come play with these disks as we round up more signs for the creation of new ones!
