About the Project

In his second project with Mural Arts, Joe Boruchow took to the 33rd street bridge in Brewerytown to create Uptown Locomotion, a lively series of scenes rendered in the artist’s signature black and white, which pays homage to the cultural history of the surrounding neighborhood. John Coltrane, the late jazz great, and former Strawberry Mansion resident gets a nod in the mural.
