Rebecca Schultz

Rebecca Schultz is a multi-disciplinary artist living in Elkins Park, PA. Her creative practice includes painting, drawing, and printmaking, installation, and public art. After 20 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, making performance art, community-based theater, and participatory installations, Rebecca moved back to her home state of Pennsylvania in 2016. Since then, she has had solo exhibitions at InLiquid, NoBa Artspace, Abington Art Center, and Da Vinci Art Alliance. Her work has been included in juried exhibitions at Site: Brooklyn, the 3rd Street Gallery, and the Philadelphia Sketch Club, among others. Rebecca has completed two community mural commissions with Mural Arts and led a participatory project at their Kensington Storefront. She also taught after-school programs for Mural Arts and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Rebecca has been awarded residencies in Canada, Iceland, Wyoming, and Ireland, and was a 2019-2020 resident artist at the Cheltenham Center for the Arts. She is a member of local arts groups InLiquid, Da Vinci Art Alliance, Philadelphia Sculptors, and Artessa Alliance. Rebecca holds a BFA in painting from Rhode Island School of Design and an MA in Education, concentrating on Community-Based Arts Education, from San Francisco State University.
