Chenlin Cai was born in Fujian, China, and has been engaged in mural creation since 2005. He has installed dozens of murals in the United States and China such as at Xuchang City Museum, Korean Cultural Center in Beijing, First Street Green Culture Park in New York, and 10th Street Plaza in Philadelphia Chinatown. In 2018 and 2019, his mural story was reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Cai is also a multidisciplinary visual artist. In his works, he combines traditional Chinese ink painting with contemporary art expressions to create a unique visual image that fuses art and science. His works have been exhibited in the United Nations, Barnes Foundation, 12th Florence Biennale, and Freeman’s Auction Gallery.
Cai received his MFA from the Tsinghua University, China, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He is now teaching arts in the Delaware County Community College and Guanghua Chinese School in Philadelphia.
