Eagles Youth Partnership

Children from Bryant Elementary School pose for a photo in front of the mural they helped to paint with Eagles players Brodrick Bunkley and Chris Clemons.

On June 4, 2008, the Mural Arts Program and the Eagles Youth Partnership celebrated the 11th annual Eagles Playground Build at the William C. Bryant School at 60th Street & Cedar Avenue in West Philadelphia. The one-day transformation included a massive mural designed by muralist David McShane covering the entire façade of the school and about a third of its interior walls.

Over 1,000 volunteers from the Eagles Youth Partnership and the Mural Arts Program joined the entire Eagles organization, players, coaches, and team support staff, to work with the school's children to plant trees and flowers, install a turf sprint field, create mosaics benches and game tables, and of course, transform the face of the Bryant School with murals. Though players came to work, they were continuously tackled by students wanting to rub elbows and take photos with their giant heroes.
