City Hall, West Portal Hallway
This invitational exhibition features photographs in which murals are not necessarily the focus, but are observers of the action taking place. This will be the inaugural exhibit in a newly outfitted gallery space in City Hall. Incorporating images taken by both fine art photographers and photojournalists alike, including David Graham, Jack Ramsdale, Zoe Strauss and Adam Wallacavage, Wall Watching captures the dialogue between murals and their surroundings.

Be the Change
Closing Reception: Friday, October 30, 12:00
Youth Art Gallery—Terminal A - East Baggage Claim, Philadelphia International Airport
8000 Essington Avenue
This past year, youth enrolled in the Mural Arts Program's Big Picture and Mural Corps
programs drew inspiration from the practice and activism of Mahatma Gandhi: "We need to
be the change we wish to see in the world." Our students were asked to challenge their preconceptions
of who they are, how the world portrays them and how they portray themselves. The self-portraits
included in this exhibition capture students who through their artwork give voice to their
opinions, ideas, passions and visions for the future as they strive to lead by example and
"be the change" in their communities.
