Exhibition Opening: Creative Capital

MAP will host an exhibition of arts and crafts created by members of its staff from July 25-August 25 in the Commonwealth Gallery at the Lincoln Financial Mural Arts Center at the Thomas Eakins House. An opening will take place on Friday, July 25, the 164th birthday of Thomas Eakins. The evening will celebrate the creativity of MAP 's staff, as well as Eakins ' legacy to the city, and his wish that his residence live on as a vibrant arts center. LoveFest 2008

LoveFest is a music and arts festival in West Philadelphia presented by Bible Way Baptist Church. As part of the general festivities, MAP will have our summer works on display (art, poetry and photography) and will be presenting a mask-making activity. Join us for this fun, free event! Young Advocates for Mural Arts (YAMA) invite you to our Summer Champagne Trolley Tour and Happy Hour! Trolley will depart from CHIMA Brazilian Steakhouse at 20th & JFK for a one-hour tour of iconic Center City murals, then return to CHIMA for complimentary hors d 'oeuvres and drink specials. Murals & Gardens Tour

Jane Golden, founder and director of the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program and Joan Reilly, senior director of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s acclaimed Philadelphia Green program, invite you to join them for a two-hour trolley tour of the murals and gardens of West Philadelphia. Discover urban oases and participate in a vibrant discussion with two of Philadelphia’s visionary leaders in the field of neighborhood transformation. Tickets are $45 per person and include lunch at the White Dog Café following the tour. Space is limited and reservations are required.
