Q: How do I submit my portfolio?
The Mural Arts Program accepts portfolios from interested artists through our artist application process. Once you submit an application by mail or online, your work will be reviewed and your information will be added to the Mural Arts Program's artist database. Through this process you become a potential candidate for the Muralist Training Program as well.
Q: Does the Mural Arts Program offer professional development opportunities for artists?
Yes, the Mural Arts Program offers a Muralist Training Program for artists interested in adapting their skills to public mural-making. The Mural Arts Program aims to train and enrich artists who already possess strong painting skills through exposure to the community process inherent in public mural-making. It also provides individual artists with general support to advance their mural-making skills. After the completion of the course, all accepted artists will have the opportunity to participate in an apprenticeship with the Mural Arts Program.
