About this Project

A large wall mural honoring Eisenhower Fellowships’ 50 years was formally dedicated on October 2 in Philadelphia. The mural depicts a learning tree or Tree of Knowledge and hidden among the leaves are, in artist Michael Webb’s words, “objects alluding to the breadth of human endeavor, knowledge, and perseverance.”

Eisenhower Fellow Jane Golden ’03 *, who heads Philadelphia’s Mural Arts Philadelphia, presided over the ceremony, which featured Abha Lambah ‘02, who is a conservation architect from Mumbai.

In March 2003, Jane Golden traveled to Northern Ireland as an Eisenhower Fellow to study the political murals there.
