My North Philly : Cluster C—Nicetown

Working in collaboration with the Nicetown CDC and the local community the Mural Arts Program embarked on a 6-month long project to revamp the Nicetown Park along Germantown Avenue. Using interviews by ethnographer Maria Möller as a foundation, muralist Eliseo Art Silva designed a two-wall mural for the park. In addition, artist Danielle Callahan returned to work with the community on a series of tile workshops. These tiles have been installed along the brick walls throughout the park.
